Zelda Majora’s Mask To Be Released For Wii U?

UPDATE 1/4/2013: The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask Wii U petition has been updated. To show your support, click on this link.

Nintendo introduced a multitude of promises to its loyal fans and inquisitive onlookers with their newest console, the Wii U. Curiosity and confusion were the prime sentiments when the console was announced back in 2011, but this year’s E3 finally gave us a hands-on look and with it, a new appreciation and realization of Nintendo’s vision. While many are still skeptical of the Wii U, especially pertaining to exactly how the gamepad will enhance video games, it’s clear that the next generation at Nintendo will reflect an attempt to infuse innovation into the traditional gameplay formula. We now see what it can do, but will the bigwigs attempt to win our hearts and dissolve our doubts for the Wii U by introducing a title that would entice any Nintendo fan?

According to several sources around Youtube, a leak has been captured straight from Nintendo that depicts an N64 classic, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for Wii U. Check out the video below.

Do you think the video is real or fake? I’m someone who absolutely loves the Zelda series and I might even consider purchasing it if Nintendo’s release line up featured more games of this caliber. However, I am not convinced that the above video is truly representative of a real project or venture for Nintendo. As much as I would support Majora’s Mask on the Wii U, this clip is certainly not cutting it in terms of legitimacy for me. If it was real, would you consider purchasing a Wii U?

I agree. Especially looking at the font with the flames in the background, it just doesn’t seem like Nintendo’s style.

This is bad journalism, it says on the video’s page who the creators are, it’s some Pablo guy, not Nintendo.

Who knows. Nintendo is trying to ‘try new things’, and I wouldnt put this past them. Remeber the trailers for Kid Icarus: Uprising? VERY similar to this.

If I had to guess, and I will; I’d say this is authentic.

Afterall. Just think of the amount of time it took to make this, and then consider that Nintendo ‘just’ recently announced it was considering the Major’s Mask remake for Wii U. Until now, everyone was convinced that it would be for Nintendo 3DS – as Myamoto had lead us to believe last year.

ofcourse, I could be wrong. But I wager it’s real.

Looks amazing! Would be even more amazing if we had any concrete detail. I’m buying a Wii U on day one of course. I’m more excited for the new smash then Zelda ATM probably becuz I haven’t beat skyward sword yet!

I’ve beaten every single Zelda game except for Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and I still can’t get myself to finish Skyward Sword. I didn’t enjoy it very much. Majora’s Mask is a whole different story though!

Oh yeah I already know! Majora’s Mask is without a doubt the hardest of the Zeldas! Never have I ever felt so much pride when i retrieved all the mask. I would have to say that it might of been the hardest accomplishment I have ever accomplished in the gaming world 😀 lol

Do you remember getting the Fierce Diety’s Mask? The Goron challange was sooooooo hard!!! I remember it took me hours to complete. My brothers never could do it but I reigned supreme! Haha man your right that was a huge accomplishment for my 10-year-old self. I think you gave me an article idea :)

That’s the reason why I retrieved every mask! That mask is without a doubt the tightest thing I have ever seen in the Zelda Universe lol.. AND OMG.. the Goron Challenge still to this day haunts me! I don’t know how I succeeded in finishing it.. Sharp turns here super sharp turn here ohhh noooo! a huge ramp that I have to hit at the right angle just to reach the other platform which is only about 1 to 2 feet wide lol.. oh yeah.. memories!!

When the video was “leaked”, it was rumored to have come from Nintendo. Since then, Pablo Belmonte and Paco Martinez have stepped up and confirmed that they created the video for Nintendo.
